Beginning in 1956, it has ran every single year consecutively, bringing us aweful yet catchy tunes of all genres from all qualified countries across Europe and is now one of the longest running TV shows in human history.

Each year, millions of viewers stay up late to watch all finalist countries do their best to win a competition they can barely afford to host, the message is clear, let peace continue to reign across our continent.

Such a subtle yet worthwhile cause shouldn\'t go un-recognised globally...
